Benefits
All Benefits Designed Around the Needs of Growers and their Workers 
Compulsory Base

 R 10 000 - R 50 000 cover for Principal member only. Member is either a farm worker or small-scale grower.
Core compulsory benefit.

Immediate Family

 R 25 000 - R 50 000 cover for up to 3 spouses and 6 children.
African Defined Family Structure.
Additional Base Benefit.

Extended Family

R 7 500 - R 50 000 cover for up to to 20 dependents and extended family. Premiums increase as dependents get older, across 5 defined age-bands.

Salabedla

12 Month / 24 Month fixed term monthly installments of R 2 500. From death of Member, pension for beneficiaries for the selected period.

Any SA Canegrowers' Grower or Employee of an active Large / Small-Scale Grower can join the scheme.

Maximum coverage age: 85 years 

What are the Waiting Periods?

Once a member / dependent is enrolled in a benefit, they are immediately covered for Accidental Death.

​

However, Natural Death will only be covered after a member / dependent has been on the scheme for a Waiting period 
(Set number of months).

​

Waiting periods are based on relationship type and age.
